Monarch Little League

Fall Season

Young players are required to register according to their Fall School Grade. To insure young players (a) have fun, (b) are safe, (c) receive the appropriate developmental attention and (d) maintain their friendship bonds the Monarch Little League Board has developed a guideline taking into consideration maturity and physical ability.

Important Information for Fall Ball:

  • Fall Ball practice and games are offered for players entering K-8th grade. Occasionally, due to limited player enrollment, a practice/clinic based program is offered for 6th-8th graders.

  • K-1st T-ball Division: This division is for players who are new to baseball or who played in the T-ball division in the Spring. The focus on skills in this division will be learning field positions, basic fielding technique and hitting against the tee.
  • 1st-3rd Machine Pitch A & AA Division: This division is for players who are new to baseball, have played only Tball or who played in the Machine Pitch A division in the Spring. The focus on skills in this division will be learning field positions, basic fielding technique and hitting against the pitching machine.
  • 3rd-5th Little League AAA Kid Pitch Division: This Division is for players who have played at least one season of kid pitch, or are interested in making the transition from Machine pitch to kid pitch in the Spring. At least one season of Machine Pitch AA is required to participate in this division.  In addition, players must be comfortable in defensive positions and consistently manage fielding pop fly's, hard thrown balls, and make accurate throws across the field. The focus on skills in this division will be taking the next step in field technique, baseball IQ, and hitting against kid pitch.
  • 5th-6th Little League Majors Kid Pitch Division: This Division is for players who have played at least one season of kid pitch, or are interested in making the transition from AAA to Majors in the Spring. The focus on skills in this division will be taking the next step in field technique, baseball IQ, and hitting against kid pitch.
  • 7th-8th Intermediates/Juniors: This Division is for older players who are interested in the opportunity to get some playing/practice time in the sport of baseball this fall.  Depending on the number of players registered 1-2 "teams" will be formed and will have a designated practice time each Sunday.  If MLL and surrounding leagues numbers allow, games will occur. This is an excellent opportunity for any middle school aged player to brush up on skills, continue development, or learn the game of baseball.

  • The Fall Ball season takes place on Sundays ONLY and runs from the first weekend in September after Labor Day until the last weekend in October. The first two sessions will be practice/clinic based, followed by 6 weeks of a combination of games and clinics. Coaches do have the option of running 1 additional practice mid-week if desired however it is non-mandatory.
  • Registration will close typically on the Tuesday after Labor Day.  Teams will be formed and made public by the following Thursday.  The schedule will be available the following day. Please note that the first practice for ALL teams will be that following Sunday.
  • The MLL Fall Ball program is designed to be a developmental league.  Fall Ball allows players to continue their love for baseball in the Fall by playing with their friends and continuing to develop skills necessary to prepare for Spring baseball. This is NOT a competitive league.  We do not keep score and we encourage all players to play a variety of positions. Fall Ball is an opportunity for players to try any and all positions on the field and have fun playing baseball!
